BMIBABY EXPANDS WINTER FLYING PROGRAMME
Budget airline bmibaby is increasing ski and winter sun flights in a schedule which goes on sale this week.
The airline will offer 828 flights a week to and from the UK to 20 European destinations between October 28 and April 6, 2008.
Flights from Cardiff and Manchester go on sale today (Wednesday) and tomorrow from Birmingham and East Midlands.
Fares start at £18.99 one-way.
The airline is increasing flights to Geneva by 66%, operating up to 50 a week to and from gateway to the Alps. Flights are also available to Malaga to access the Sierra Nevada ski region.
Nine winter sun destinations will be offered across its network, including six new routes from Birmingham to Barcelona, Faro, Jersey, Lisbon, Murcia and Rome.
The number of daily flights from Birmingham to Scotland are increasing, to up to five times a day to Edinburgh and up to four times a day to Glasgow.
The airline’s marketing director David Hodge said: “We are pleased to launch our biggest ever winter flights programme.”

Air Transat Holidays raises winter capacity
Air Transat Holidays has raised capacity to Canada by 50% in its winter programme.
The operator is offering 14 flights a week from the UK to four Canadian destinations – Montreal, Toronto, Calgary and Vancouver.
The winter schedule includes a new Gatwick-Montreal flight, and enhanced services on its existing winter schedule from Glasgow and Manchester to Toronto, which will operate non-stop for the first time.
The operator will run five flights a week from Gatwick to Toronto, twice a week to Calgary and Vancouver and once a week to Montreal.
Manchester will have twice weekly flights to Calgary and a weekly Toronto service.
Glasgow-Toronto will operate once a week on Wednesdays.
Communications and marketing director Kathryn Munro said: "Our new winter schedule offers a greater choice of services than ever before, presenting travellers with a wider range of holiday options, from skiing to winter breaks and much more."
